Default what about a barbershop?

hey.

what would u think of an barbershop in guildwars?
play with the idea would it be fun to customize your look once in a while maybe not always have the same haircut and something like that? it may be as a original shop but instead of buying armors and runes u buy an new haircut? this is only what i think what do u think?

then i started to thinking about another thing. shouldt it be helpfull that in all mission towns u could type /party. And a list with all not full partys come up on the screen. And u can choose in the list wich one u wanna join as an self invite. cause sometimes where its many people around and no one say they are looking for a party and u start looking around and there is noone whos not in a party it can get a litle frustrating. what do u think?

please comment or send me an email.

Both have been suggested many times, so much that you might not get many replies.

Anyway,

Yeah, I remember the whole barbershop idea startin up around a little bit after prohpecies came out. It was also rumored, in that time, that in the next expansion there was gonna be one. But, obviously, it didnt show, still hasnt shown, and I dont think it will anytime soon. I dont really mind not having one, really, but it would be pretty cool being able to change my hairstyle and such at will every so often.

Would be cool, I too remember this being talked about as a possible new feature after Prophecies. Hopefully if they implement it they won't charge too much for a new hairstyle lol

Not that it will ever be added to the game.

With as many requests that we've seen such as this I'm going to bet we'll see this in the next chapter. Especially since it seems like it would be pretty easy to do (mostly UI work), and would make so many people happy.

me = eternal optimist

so yeah...

were you even aware that everyone from the head programmer down to Gaile have said that for security reasons the accounts are set up so they UNABLE to change any part of an account which obviously includes character appearance even including HAIR

Pardon my ignorance, but I believe Gaile has said numerous times that a hairstylist npc is a "good idea"? I fail to see how changing hairstyles would compromise account security. If they are unable to change _any_ part of an account, why can you change your e-mail address and password? Aren't those much more dangerous than your characters' hairstyles? Care to explain?

Back on topic, i /sign this. I don't really see any drawbacks to being able to change hair styles/colors. It would be a great gold sink. It would be even better if we'd be able to pick hairstyles from any campaign we own, no matter where the character's "birthplace" is.

This "barbershop" idea has been presented a million times, and most people support it, but Anet is really dragging their heels on this one.

I dont think they can just simply add this in. Every campaign brings out new 'styles'. So adding a barbershop... will add some difficulties with that, because you'd have to get some character creating screen just for hair and it would be account based with what campaigns does this person have access too and what kind of char is this, tyrian, canthan or elonian. I'd say you'd get a big mess then...

This has been suggested many, many times in the past.

Next time you have an idea, please check the Index of Ideas sticky and use the search function to make sure that your idea hasn't been brought up before.
